In the early hours of this morning, the Junior Men took to the pool in their third game of the 2017 FINA World Junior Men’s Championships in Belgrade.
An impressive performance from the Australians saw them storm through to a convincing 14-5 win over South American team Argentina.
The Aussies improved each quarter and by three-quarter time held the match safely in their hands.
In the fourth quarter, Australia had to work hard struggling with extra man attack, but four counter-attack goals showed up the Argentinian defence leading Australia to clinch the final quarter 4-2.
Australia spread the goals around, with Christian Kyriakou top scoring with four goals, closely followed by Hugh Antsey with three, another impressive result for the next generation of Aussie Sharks on the international stage.
This result gives Australia the confidence they need going into their fourth and final group clash with host nation Serbia on Wednesday.
