7 things you need to know ahead of 2019 OVO AWL Finals Series

For three days Australia’s six best men’s and women’s water polo teams will converge on Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre to compete in the 2019 OVO Australian Waterpolo League Finals Series beginning on Friday 3 May.
After 11 rounds and 360 matches the time has come to decide the 2019 OVO AWL men's and women's champions. One team will remain standing from their field of six after three days of intense water polo action.
Here are 7 things you need to know before the 12 teams from across New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia go head to head in what will be Australian water polo at it's very best:
- From 3-5 May, twelve teams, comprising of six men's and six women's sides will compete at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre to determine their respective titles in Australia's premier water polo competition. To discover which teams will be lining up this weekend, click HERE.

- For the first time in the Club's history since joining Australia's national league in 2008, the Drummoyne Devils men's team clinched the minor premiership. For the women, UTS Balmain Tigers secured their minor premiership before the last round commenced and will be hard to beat this weekend.
- The Fremantle Mariners (men) have claimed the ultimate prize seven times and their female counterparts the Fremantle Marlins have been crowned champions on five occasions, taking their Club premiership tally to 12, the most of any side in history. Both sides are in the hunt for the 2019 OVO AWL Finals Series, can they add to their great record or will different teams write their name in history?
