GENERAL MANAGER - PERFORMANCE
The General Manager - Performance will focus on enhancing performance and sustainability across women's and men's water polo programs, as well as optimising athlete pathways and leadership as we look toward Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.
Following the Stingers’ silver-medal performance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, this is an exciting time to join the team as a world-class leader to inspire and deliver our National High-Performance strategy. With multiple international competitions on the horizon in early 2025, this role offers a unique opportunity to make an impact on the global stage.

ATHLETE WELLBEING AND ENGAGEMENT MANAGER
The purpose of this role is to lead the development, planning and execution of an integrated and holistic wellbeing system, aligned to WPA’s HP Strategy for all categorised WPA athletes and support staff.
Through proactive planning, utilization of National Referral Networks and collaboration with NIN AWE staff, key HP leads, coaches and performance health and support teams, you will implement programs to support athletes to effectively and safely navigate their performance pathway, compete at international level and transition through critical career points throughout and beyond their sporting career.

CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
The purpose of this role is to facilitate, consult and/or personally deliver medical services to WPA’s high performance athletes and coaches (both the men’s and women’s programs) in a manner which contributes to the achievement of WPA’s performance targets and strategic goals.
Working in collaboration with the Performance Support Manager you will provide your expertise and guidance to support the development, planning and execution of an integrated and holistic wellbeing strategy system, aligned to WPA’s HP Strategy for all categorised WPA athletes and support staff.

ATHLETE AND COACH DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with Water Polo Australia member Associations, identified athletes, coaches and SIS/SAS partners to ensure quality National Athlete Performance Pathways are developed and delivered across Australia that develop future Stingers and Sharks. You will do this by leading and managing both the Strategics objectives and National Technical direction of the National Performance Pathways Program within Water Polo Australia’s High Performance Unit.

PERFORMANCE SUPPORT MANAGER
The purpose of this role is to lead the development and delivery of WPA performance support plans and systems and processes with an underpinning philosophy of performance health. You will lead, manage, influence and mentor WPA’s performance support staff, contractors and NIN partners to ensure alignment to WPA’s HP Strategy and to foster collaborative, multi-faceted, high performing disciplinary teams.

WORLD UNIVERSITY GAMES HEAD COACHES (MALE AND FEMALE)
To lead the respective World Uni Games squad in a manner that maximises the likelihood of identified players progressing through to the National Senior Mens or Womens team and contribute to developing a system that can support sustainable international performance outcomes that Australians can be proud of. The World Uni Games Head Coach is responsible for the provision of coaching services to selected national squad athletes with the goal of increasing their understanding and knowledge of becoming a world class international player and optimising their performances internationally.
