Club CommitteeA committee is the group of people, elected according to the club's constitution, to run the club on behalf of its members. The committee is responsible for managing the processes and systems and making decisions to help the club achieve its purpose and objectives. The club’s constitution will provide details of committee structure, service times, how members of the committee are appointed and other important information. A club committee should be a diverse group of people who, collectively, provide different perspectives and experience to facilitate more considered decision-making. The committee composition should reflect the mix of professional knowledge and experience required for each role. This may include business, accounting, legal, strategic, and marketing knowledge. A diverse committee makeup (male/female, age, ethnicity, geographic location etc.) also needs to be considered.
