Australian Waterpolo League Award Winners

After a successful Australian Waterpolo League Finals Series, Water Polo Australia is pleased to announce the award winners for the season, including Most Valuable Players of the Finals Series.

The AWL All Stars teams are assembled, with votes collected from each team’s Head Coach after the last game of the home and away season. Congratulations to the following players on their selection.

For each game played throughout the 2022 season a nominated person awarded 3,2 and 1 points in relation to the player(s) who had the biggest impact on the game. The person voting was from a panel of National selectors and game delegates who had been assigned to matches across the season.

PAT JONES MEDAL - MOST VALUABLE FEMALE PLAYER OF THE FINALS SERIES
The Pat Jones Medal is given to the MVP of the Finals Series and is awarded by the National Team Selection Panel.

TOM HOAD MEDAL - MOST VALUABLE MALE PLAYER OF THE FINALS SERIES
The Tom Hoad Medal is given to the MVP of the Finals Series and is awarded by the National Team Selection Panel.

PETER KERR TROPHY - CHAMPION CLUB OF THE SEASON
The Peter Kerr Trophy which is awarded to the Champion Club for the season. The winner of the trophy is the Clubs with the most competition points collectively across both the men’s and women’s Championships.
