The countdown to the 2020 Australian Youth Water Polo Championships has reached 100 days.
More than 190 teams from around the country are expected to converge on Brisbane, for the second year of tournament, from 11-23 January.
Four age groups, will compete across five venues in a jam packed two weeks of water polo action.
There will also be courses and seminars held throughout the event as well as three international test matches.
The Aussie Sharks and Aussie Stingers will host water polo powerhouse the USA for matches on the 14, 16 and 18 January at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre.
All AYWPC competitors and officials will receive free entry into the matches.
Centre back of the Aussie Stingers Bronwen Knox said it’s not often to get the opportunity to go along to see water polo at its highest level.
“Both teams are preparing for Tokyo 2020 so getting to play against some of the best teams in the world is great preparation,” Knox said.
“It will be some fantastic games, and fantastic to watch.”
