2021 Annual General Meeting

Water Polo Australia (WPA) held it's 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday 20 November.
The AGM saw the approval of the new Water Polo Australia Constitution, which will now be sent to FINA as part of the final approval process. Click here to read.
The AGM also saw Trent Birkett reappointed to the WPA Board for a three year term, along with new Board member Alexander Alderson (3-year term).
Alderson joins the WPA Board with an extensive background working in sport having served in senior management positions with the NRL across digital, media rights and broadcast and prior to that working with Gemba consultancy where he worked with numerous sporting brands including Tennis Australia, Hockey Australia, Football Federal Australia, Athletics Australia, Motorsport Australia and Surfing Australia.
The Board will meet on November 30 where several positions will be confirmed. These include a Casual Vacancy, an Appointed Director as well as the President of the Board.
The position of Athlete's Commission Representative is still to be confirmed and will be announced in the coming weeks.
The AGM also saw the awarding of two life memberships with WPA, with stories on each to follow in the coming days.
