20&U NATIONAL AGE GROUP PROGRAM SQUADS ANNOUNCED

Water Polo Australia is pleased to announce the 20&U National Age Group Program squads for 2024.

The squads have been selected following the 19&U National State Championships in Melbourne and Perth.

These squads will have the opportunity to come together in early 2024, and work closely together in the lead up to the 2025 World Aquatics 20&U World Championships, under the guidance of newly appointed head coaches Jo Clark (20&U Women) and Dragan Bakic (20&U Men).

Clark offered her congratulations to those selected in the squad, adding she’s looking forward to seeing the group come together.

“I’m grateful to Water Polo Australia to be re-appointed to the role of Australian 20&U Women’s Head Coach,” Clark said.

“We have an exciting group of athletes in our pathways system, and I’m looking forward to working closely with this group of girls in the lead up to the 2025 World Championships,” she said.

Bakic said he was looking forward to working with the 20&U National Age Group Program squad again.

“I’m excited to be working closely with the next generation of Ord Minnett Aussie Sharks as we prepare for the 2025 World Aquatics 20&U World Championships,” Bakic said.

“It has been great to be in Perth this week at the 19&U National State Championships, and see the talent coming from the pathways programs across the country,” he said.

Water Polo Australia would like to congratulate the following athletes on their selection.

Water Polo Australia would also like to acknowledge the support of KAP7 Australia for supporting our National Age Group Program teams and helping the next generation pursue their water polo dreams.
