NINE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE 2023 AUSTRALIAN YOUTH WATER POLO CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2023 Australian Youth Water Polo Championships gets underway in Perth tomorrow, bringing together the Australian water polo community for an 11-day festival of water polo.
In partnership with the West Australian Government, through Tourism WA, the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships will be held from 9-19 January 2023.
In 2023 the event will also feature an international test match series between Australia, USA (women) and Japan (Men) teams, the first time an international water polo event will be held on home soil since 2020.

When is the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships being held?
The 2023 Australian Youth Water Polo Championships will take place from 9-19 January 2023.
Week 1 | 9-13 January 2023: 14&U (Boys and Girls) and 18&U (Boys and Girls)
Week 2 | 15-19 January 2023: 12&U (Boys and Girls) and 16&U (Boys and Girls)
Where is the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships being held?
The 2023 Australian Youth Water Polo Championships is being held in Perth, Western Australia. There will be pools across four venues: HBF Stadium, Beatty Park, Bicton Pool and University of WA.

Can I come along?
To receive free entry into venues hosting the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships games, spectators must register HERE and present booking confirmation upon request at venue entry. If spectators DO NOT register with Water Polo Australia, they may be asked to PAY an entry fee upon entry to each venue.

Will the Australian water polo teams be in Perth?
The Aussie Sharks and Aussie Stingers will also be in Perth during the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships, for the Tri Nations Water Polo Test Match Series. The Aussie Stingers will take on Olympic champions USA, with the Aussie Sharks to match up against Japan, in a three match series in 11, 13 and 15 January.

Kayo Sports is the official broadcast partner of the 2022 Tri Nations Water Polo Test Match Series.
