GAME 5: AUSTRALIA 2 def by NETHERLANDS 7

The Australian 20&U have had a tough loss to the Netherlands at the World Aquatics U20 Men's Water Polo Championships overnight.

Their Dutch opponents came our firing in the first quarter, taking a three goal lead.

However the Aussies bounced back in the second, keeping the Netherlands at bay and adding two to the score board to be only one goal behind heading into half time 2-3

While the Aussies held fiercely in the third, NED managed to add one point to their total, before a dominant fourth quarter saw the Netherlands net another three goals to secure the victory 7-2.

The Aussies will play their final crossover game on Saturday night, where they will again face the host nation Romania at 7pm AEST. CLICK HERE to watch.

GAME 4: AUSTRALIA 8 def by USA 11

The Australian 20&U men have gone down fighting against water polo powerhouse nation USA at the World Aquatics U20 Men's Water Polo Championships overnight.

The Aussies started strong, staying with their opponents throughout the first half and the scores locked at 7-7 at half time.

A lapse in momentum for the Aussies saw the Americans edge ahead to lead 7-8 going into the last quarter.

A dominant fourth quarter performance from the USA saw them claim a three goal victory, 8-11.

The Aussies will now play the Netherlands in their next cross over match on Friday 16 June at 7pm AEST.  CLICK HERE to watch.

GAME 3: AUSTRALIA 5 def by ROMANIA 11

The Australian 20&U men have had a tough hit out against host nation Romania at the World Aquatics U20 Men's Water Polo Championships overnight.

After topping their pool, the Aussies progressed to the cross over rounds, meeting hosts Romania in the first of two matches.

Scores were locked at 2-2 after the first quarter, before the Romanians put their foot down in front of a passionate home crowd to storm home and claim a 5-11 win.

The Aussies will now face the USA in their next cross over match on Wednesday 14 June at 11.30pm AEST. CLICK HERE to watch.

GAME 2: AUSTRALIA 17 d ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN 3

The Australian 20&U men have delivered another convincing win at the World Aquatics U20 Men's Water Polo Championships in Romania overnight.

After their 16-4 victory over Argentina on day two, the Australians were eager to add another win to the board with the cross over matches on the horizon.

In their final pool match against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Australians were dominant, claiming a 5-2 lead in the first quarter.

With a 8-3 lead heading into the second half, the young Australians made their mark on the competition, keeping their opponents to zero goals in the second half and finishing with a 17-3 victory.

Nine players added their name to the goal scorers list, Daniel Munk the top goal scorer with four goals. Luka Krstic also starred with a hat trick.

Will Valentine, Marcus Berehulak, and Tyler Krenkels all scored two, with Rory McKell, Jordan Lancaster, Andrej Grgurevic and Mattia Bognolo all adding one goal each.

The win saw the Aussies top their pool, and make their way through to the cross over matches where they will meet hosts Romania on Wednesday 14 June at 2.30am AEST. CLICK HERE to watch.

GAME 1: AUSTRALIA 16 d ARGENTINA 4

The Australian 20&U men have started their World Championships campaign in style, with a convincing win against Argentina overnight.

The Aussie young guns led from the outset, outscoring their opponents 2-1 in the first quarter.

By half time, the Aussies had extended their lead to 5-2, before putting their foot down in the third quarter to lead 11-5 going into the final quarter.

In the fourth quarter, the Aussies sealed a commanding 16-4 win.

Andrej Grgurevic (NSW) was on fire for the Australian team, top scoring with an impressive six goals. Marcus Berehulak (NSW/QLD) scored four goals, Tristan Glanznig (NSW) sealed two and Jordan Lancaster (NSW), Daniel Munk (NSW), Luka Krstic (NSW) and Rory McKell (NSW) all scored one each.

The Aussies will now face the Islamic Republic of Iran in their final pool match on Monday 12 June at 5.30pm AEST. CLICK HERE to watch.
