The Aussie Stingers have announced their training squad for their three-week European tour as the squad continues to prepare for the FINA Women’s Water Polo World Cup in September.
As part of their tour, the sixteen Aussie Stingers will participate in training camps with Spain and Greece as well as compete in two local tournaments.
The goal for the Aussie Stingers is to focus on developing their structures and systems ahead of the FINA World Cup tournament in Russia.
Their first local competition will be at the International Water Polo Tournament Villa De Portugalete in Spain against Spain, Greece and Russia, beginning June 22.
Following the Spanish leg of the tour, the team will travel to Hungary to compete in the Vodafone Cup against Hungary, China and USA, starting on June 27.
A week-long training camp with Greece will be the final component of their European tour.
