The Aussie Stingers mounted an impressive second half comeback to defeat European powerhouse the Netherlands 15-12, in their second preliminary match of the Tokyo Olympics.
The Netherlands led for the majority of the first half, before the Aussie Stingers Olympic experience came to the fore, with crucial goals from Hannah Buckling, Rowie Webster, Bron Knox and Zoe Arancini.
A combination of a strong defensive presence, and attacking pressure in converting vital goals saw the Aussie Stingers take an eventual three goal win.
While experience reigned supreme, the strong performance from the rookies also played a major role with a trifecta from debutant Abby Andrews and first outing at the Olympics for goalkeeper Gabriella Palm.
