Australian Youth Women's Squad embark on Japan tour

The Australian Youth Women’s Squad have embarked on a week-long tour of Japan.
Throughout the seven days, the girls will train and play against the Shumei University team, consisting of seven senior national team players.
The squad will also compete in training games against other club and school teams from the Shumei area.
Coach Phillip Bower and Assistant Coach Mel Rippon will lead the 17-strong group on the tour, as a part of the squad’s preparations for the 2020 FINA World Women’s Youth Water Polo Championships in Netanya, Israel.
The larger squad of 32 will take part in a training camp that follows on from the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships in Brisbane in January.
