EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST - TRIBUNAL MEMBERS AND INVESTIGATORS

Water Polo Australia is seeking expressions of interest from persons for the following:
National Internal Tribunal
WPA seeks expressions of interest from people from within the membership of WPA throughout Australia who are independent and impartial who can sit as members of National Internal Tribunals to hear matters that have been referred to the tribunal and to make decisions based on matters of fact.
We also seek members, who are qualified as legal practitioners, to act as the Chairperson of Disciplinary Tribunals, who have the additional responsibility of deciding questions of law, evidence and procedure.
To apply you should have at least 5 years of experience in the sport of Water Polo and a good understanding of the laws of the game and of WPA’s policies and procedures relation to disciplinary matters.
The position is voluntary and may involve meetings being held of a nighttime or on weekends.

Investigators:
WPA seeks expressions of interest from people within the community who can become members of a pool of persons used to investigate complaints and disputes under Clause 5.5 of the WPA Conduct and Disciplinary Policy and Clause 7.5 of the WPA Complaints, Disputes and Discipline Policy and other WPA policies.
Applicants do not require legal qualifications (although that would be beneficial) but, if you don’t, then a good understanding of WPA’s Disciplinary and Disputes Policies, and independence and impartiality are all vital.
Additionally experience in some aspect of the game of water polo or sports administration is desirable.
