TOURNAMENT PREVIEW

Australia’s most promising 16&U male water polo players will battle it out for the title of National Champions beginning next week Tuesday 2 October in Perth.

The National Aged Championships provides a platform for developing athletes to compete against the best teams in the country for the national title.

National Competitions Manager Matt Turnball says teams can expect a high-quality competition at the premiere event for this age division.

“It will be good, tough competition, with the athlete getting to play a lot of games across the six days.

“This tournament offers clubs the chance to be crowned champions in Australia which is a really big achievement as this is currently the highest level of competition we have in our national pathway.

“Individually athletes can go on to be included in the 16&U Australian men’s water polo squad as national selectors will be present during the tournament,” he said.
