FlippaBall offer to get more young people playing water polo

As the weather starts to heat up, Water Polo Australia is making it even easier for children to make the most of Australia’s favourite aquatic team sport.

Water Polo Australia’s (WPA) introductory junior program FlippaBall, is well loved across the nation as a fun and simple way to get young people playing water polo with their friends.

With many Clubs and associations offering FlippaBall, Water Polo Australia is waiving the national fee attached to the program to make FlippaBall more affordable to parents, families and clubs.

Water Polo Australia CEO Richard McInnes understands that many families have been hit hard by the pandemic and therefore the organisation will be investing into FlippaBall to bring down fees attached to the program.

“Water is synonymous with the Australian summer lifestyle and there is no better way to learn to be safe in the water than by having fun with your friends and learning the fundamentals of our great sport through the FlippaBall program,” McInnes said.

“FlippaBall provides a wonderful entry level program for younger participants to come and learn basic skills, and hopefully progress through to playing water polo with their local club or school.”

The insurance fees attached with the FlippaBall program will be covered by Water Polo Australia this season, to ensure those costs aren’t passed on to parents to make the program more affordable. Participants who register through the offer will still be covered by insurance.
