The AIS will welcome some of Australia’s best up and coming male water polo players for a one-week camp as part of preparations for two major tournaments.

The men’s U20’s squad will attend the AIS between 18-25 May to prepare for the 2019 World University Games and FINA World Junior Championships.

Athletes were selected based on their performances from the 2018 and 2019 OVO Australian Waterpolo League seasons, as well as previous national training camp attendance and competitions.

Athletes currently playing overseas or in the US College system were unavailable for the AIS camp but remain available for selection.

Andrew Yanitsas has been appointed coach of both teams.

The World University Games will be held between 3-14 July in Naples (ITA) and FINA World Men’s Junior Championships in Kuwait from 12-20 December.
