National Performance Framework released
Published Fri 11 Dec 2020
Water Polo Australia (WPA) has today released the National Performance Framework (NPF) that aligns with the recently released National Strategic Framework (NSF).
The purpose of the NPF is to provide players, coaches, parents, referees and administrators at all levels of Water Polo with an understanding of the overall framework around their journey as an aspiring player, coach or referee within Water Polo.
WPA National Performance Director, Charles Turner, said the National Performance Framework provides the water polo community as a whole with clarity of the system.
“The NPF is designed to provide clarity not just for players and coaches, but also for their families. Providing a clear framework that shows how players and coaches as well as referees can progress through the sport is very important,” said Turner.
“We have listened to the feedback gathered through the development of the National Strategic Framework, whereby the community wanted a greater understanding of how players and coaches aspiring to national teams, can and should prepare.
“It also outlines Water Polo Australia’s commitment to supporting those coming through our pathways and how we will work with our delivery panthers including the NIN and State Institutes,” he said.
