National Water Polo High Performance Ecosystem Review - HAVE YOUR SAY! Stakeholder Survey

Published Wed 14 Aug 2024

With a view to achieving repeatable podium performances at Olympic Games and World Championships in both the women’s and men’s programs, and with an awareness that the global and national Water Polo High Performance (HP) landscape has and continues to change rapidly, Water Polo Australia (WPA) has initiated a comprehensive, independent and holistic review of its current HP Ecosystem.

The Review will include widespread input from HP and Performance Pathways stakeholders across the country via various formats, including focus group sessions, e-Surveys, written submissions, interviews and a HP Strategy Jam session.

A key element of the Review is the Stakeholder e-Survey. The survey has been developed to collect feedback from players, coaches, administrators and performance support personnel, who are involved (or have recently been involved) in the following teams / programs:

  • Aussie Stingers: Senior Women (High Performance)
  • Aussie Sharks: Senior Men (High Performance)
  • 20U Female and Male teams (Performance Pathway)
  • 18U Female and Male teams (Performance Pathway)
  • 16U Female and Male teams (Performance Pathway)
  • Australian Water Polo League Teams (Performance Pathway)
  • State-based performance pathways programs (e.g. QAS, NSWIS, WAPP)

Please access the survey here: WPA High Performance Ecosystem Review - Stakeholder Survey

We invite and encourage anyone involved in the teams/programs listed above to contribute to the Review via this really important survey, which is live until midnight Sunday 1st September 2024.

On behalf of WPA, thanks for taking the time to contribute to the future of High-Performance Water Polo in Australia - Your time and input is valued and appreciated!
