Next gen to join Aussie Stingers on Sunshine Coast

Next gen athletes will join the Aussie Stingers for two one-week long camps as part of the squads residential camp on the Sunshine Coast in the lead up to the Tokyo Olympic Games.
The athletes who have been identified as 'Pathway to Paris' prospects will train alongside the Senior National Squad from 1 March to 6 March. The Paris squad will the join the Stingers again from 12 April to 17 April.
Aussie Stingers Head Coach Predrag Mihailovic said it will be a good development opportunity for these athletes.
“Training alongside the Stingers during their Olympic preparation camp is a fantastic opportunity for the Pathway to Paris athletes,” Mihailovic said.
“The Pathway to Paris squad is not fixed right now and with player to have the opportunity to be identified to come into the squad during the next Olympic cycle
“During the camps they will train and play with and against Australia’s top female water polo players, providing them with a platform to learn and develop their skills.
“It will also give our Aussie Stingers some valuable game time in the lead up to Tokyo, given the uncertainty that surrounds international travel,” he said.
Squads for the first Pathway to Paris camp will be announced in the coming weeks.
