NICK ELPHICK’S PASSPORT TO PERTH

Having grown up in Perth, Aussie Sharks squad member Nick Elphick knows the west coast like the back of his hand.

With his team mates set to head West in a matter of days, Nick is looking forward to welcoming them and the water polo community to his home state.

1. You can’t start a day without a coffee, and Daisies Cottesloe is the perfect place for a morning brew.

2. Tonic and Ginger in Fremantle is one of my favourite restaurants in town. They have some awesome Asian fusion food and it’s definitely worth checking out.

3. If you’ve got the day off, or are staying in Perth, you can’t go past visiting Rottnest Island. Beautiful beaches, and cute quokkas - what isn’t there to love.

4. I’ve spent many years training and playing at Melville Water Polo Club, and just a short drive away is the General Store Melville, which is perfect for a post training or game feed.

5. Fremantle has some great night life, and one of my favourite places is The Left Bank in East Fremantle.
