Score a ticket to world class water polo in Perth

The world’s best water polo players are coming to Perth as the build up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games continues, with tickets now on sale for the 2019 FINA World League Inter-Continental Cup.
The 2019 FINA Inter-Continental Cup will be held at HBF stadium from 26-31 March, attracting men’s and women’s teams from up to nine nations and all will be vying for a spot at the FINA World League Super Final.
Session ticket prices start at $10 for children (15 and under) and $15 for adults and an all-inclusive weekly ticket with access to the finals is priced at just $50 for children and $75 for adults.
“The 2019 FINA Inter-Continental Cup represents great value and a good opportunity to witness world class water polo action,” said Water Polo Australia CEO, Joelie Chisholm.
“It is a rare opportunity to see world class water polo competition in action on home soil and we are excited to be hosting this event in Perth.
“We’re encouraging the local water polo community and Perth sports fans to get behind our water polo players and come along to enjoy the very best in action.”
Perth born Olympian and Aussie Stingers team member, Zoe Arancini is excited to play where it all began.
“I’m looking forward to having my family and friends there to support me and the rest of the Australian team,” Arancini said.
“For them to see the hard work pay off, they enjoy watching me play.
“This is a big tournament, we have a lot of countries coming over and they’re highly competitive teams. I’m really looking forward to the competition.”
Arancini said the Australian teams will make the most of their home ground advantage.
“Judging by the great turn out at our recent test matches against Japan, I think Australia will have great support in the stands.
“We’ve got a lot of junior players in Perth and I hope they can all come along and support us. It’s a great opportunity to observe the teams as they prepare and see their different playing styles,” she said.
As well as host nation Australia, the qualifying event has attracted teams from the USA, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, China, Kazakhstan, Brazil and South Africa.
