Seven things to know ahead of the OVO AWL finals series

1. WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

The top six men's and women's teams from the 2018 OVO Australian Waterpolo League will play across three days to decide the champions in an environment designed for water polo fans of all ages to enjoy.

The 2018 OVO Australian Waterpolo League (AWL) finals series is the pinnacle event in the Water Polo Australia’s elite water polo competition for the year.

Australia’s best men’s and women’s water polo athletes will converge on Sydney Olympic Park to compete for the title of 2018 OVO AWL champions.

2. WHO WILL BE PLAYING?

The top six men’s and women’s water polo teams from the 2018 OVO Australian Waterpolo League will play across three days to decide this year’s champions.

 

3. YOU'RE INVITED!

In an environment designed for water polo fans of all ages to enjoy, the finals series is the place to be for everyone! Across all three days there will be action in the pool and an entertainment area outside the pool which includes:

  • Live music

  • Gourmet food

  • Chilled beverages

4. WHERE IS IT BEING HELD?

Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre will play host to the 2018 finals series. Four hours of free parking are available to spectators parking in P2 adjacent to Aquatic Centre. Parking tickets must be validated at the Aquatic Centre.

5. WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?

  • Friday May 4: 3pm-8pm

  • Saturday May 5: 8am-6pm

  • Sunday May 6: 9am-5pm

6. HOW DO I GET MY HANDS ON SOME TICKETS?

Tickets are available at the door and can be purchased either as a one day or three day pass option.

One Day Pass:

  • Adult $15
  • Youth (under 18) $10
  • Children under 5 FREE

Three Day Pass:

  • Adult $30
  • Youth (under 18) $20
  • Children under 5 FREE

 

7. WHAT IF I'M NOT IN SYDNEY THIS WEEKEND?

Our friends at OVO Mobile will be live streaming all 14 finals matches from Friday through to Sunday via the OVOPlay platform.

GET INVOLVED!

OVO Mobile are giving you and 12 others a chance to be trained by one Australian head coach. If you win, you get to pick either Sakis Kechagias or Elvis Fatovic to come to your local pool deck and teach you a thing or two!

Simply post a picture at the OVO AWL finals series or watching it via OVOPlay and #OVOAWL to be in with a chance.

  • Winners choice of which Australian head coach you would like to be trained by (*subject to availability)
  • #OVOAWL must be used
  • For us to see your pictures, your profile must be on public
  • 13 people maximum are allowed to attend the private training session
