Sharks to attend training camp before World League Super Finals

The Aussie Sharks will be in Canberra next week for a five day training camp ahead of the June FINA World League Super Finals in Hungary.

Eight international teams will converge on Budapest from June 18-23 and battle it out across six days.

Having successfully qualified for the tournament after claiming silver at the FINA Inter-Continental Cup in April, the Sharks will now compete against some of the powerhouses of international water polo.

Aussie Sharks head coach Elvis Fatovic believes the players will be focused and train strongly off the back of their domestic seasons.

“The squad has been training well in their home states since the conclusion of the Australian Waterpolo League and should be well prepared for what will be an intense five days.

“The Australian Institute of Sport is great place for training camps, it has everything we need to prepare for a busy month ahead,” he said.

This training camp is the last opportunity players will have for selection in the final squad which departs to Europe on June 9.
