WATER POLO AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCES CADET WOMEN’S SQUAD FOR NZ TOUR

Water Polo Australia is pleased to announce the Cadet Women’s squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand.

With the teams announced for the FINA Cadet World Championships (click here for more), WPA is pleased to be able to offer an additional group of athletes an opportunity to travel to New Zealand to train against some senior teams as well as participate in the NZ 18&U National Championships.

For many of the athletes, it will be their first taste of international competition, and a valuable learning experience as they progress through the pathway.

Cadet Women’s Head Coach Georgina Kovacs-Muller said: “These athletes were heavily impacted by the well-known events of the past two years, hence our plans to expose a larger group of athletes over two different tours.”

“These experiences will provide a solid base for the athletes to realise what that next level of competition looks like and the work that needs to be done to get there.

“It’s a great opportunity to learn and develop individually, as well as a team, as they progress on their path in the National Age Group Program,” she said.

Water Polo Australia would like to congratulate the following athletes on their selection:
