Community club volunteers across Australia will have unprecedented access to a range of resources ahead of the 2021/2022 water polo season, with the launch of Water Polo Australia’s ClubPool platform.

Water Polo Australia is excited to launch the new digital platform that will provide States associations, community club administrators and volunteers across the country with access to resources and tools to assist with development, growth, and sustainability of community water polo clubs.

The one-stop-shop houses an array of information, tutorials and customisable templates for download, across eight, different topics. The new platform is delivered in a user-friendly format, making it simple for volunteers to find everything they need in one place.

Water Polo Australia CEO, Richard McInnes, said that the ClubPool platform will be a great asset for all community water polo clubs.

“WPA has purposefully shifted our role from just managing the sport to empowering and supporting our community to deliver a great experience for participants.  Our volunteers are the backbone of our sport across the country, and we’re delighted to launch the ClubPool platform to better assist them to manage highly successful clubs,” McInnes said.

“We understand that sometimes knowing where to start is overwhelming, so our one-stop-shop for volunteers will equip them with the necessary tools and tips to help run their club efficiently and effectively. Equally for some of our long serving volunteers and well established clubs, there will be some content here that helps them go to the next level.

“As outlined in the WPA National Strategic Framework, the ambition of the first phase of our 2030 plan is to enhance capacity and capability to enable scalable growth, and ClubPool is just one of the tools we have implemented to assist with this.

“It has already been well received during the test phase and we are excited to be able to offer this tool  to our entire water polo community as part of our membership benefits,” he said.

Before the official launch, ClubPool was subject to a testing phase which offered a number of community volunteers’ early access to provide feedback on the platform. All responses were overwhelmingly positive with one volunteer responding:

“Well done WPA in assisting clubs with their organisation. It will help us to be more professional in our approach. We will use the information, tools and templates to suit our needs.”
