Water Polo Australia staffing update

Water Polo Australia would like to welcome the new staff members to the team, while acknowledging the departing members from the national office.
HIGH PERFORMANCE
In recent weeks, WPA was excited to announce the addition of the new national Head Coach and Coaching Director roles.
Tim Hamill has already commenced in the role of Men’s Head Coach/Coaching Director, with Paul Oberman set to start his new role of Women’s Head Coach/Coaching Director in the coming weeks.
WPA is looking forward to working with Tim and Paul on the short runway to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
GROWTH
Tim Welsford has commenced in the role of General Manager - Growth, as a maternity leave cover for Holly Tyrrell. Tim has been working alongside Holly to ensure a smooth transition and handover process.
Tim joins the team with a wealth of experience, having worked in numerous roles at Tennis NSW, YMCA Victoria and Mentone Grammar School as Director of Sport.
COMPETITIONS AND EVENTS
Dannette Taylor has joined the team in the role of Events Manager, taking a lead in the delivery of the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships, Australian Waterpolo League and National State Championships.
Prior to joining the team, Dannette was the Events and Operations Manager at the Gold Coast Titans for 10 years.
Dannette will work closely with Lateisha Kenny, who after working with WPA for the past two years as Administration Officer, will take on the role of National Competitions Manager to replace Isabella Andersson. WPA would like to thank Isabella for her time with WPA as she takes on a new opportunity returning to Queensland.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT
General Manager - Learning and Development Katie Foulkes will be departing Water Polo Australia in the coming weeks after a fantastic opportunity was offered to her with global company Salesforce.
Katie has been integral in the development and implementation of the new Learning and Development Framework, and given the sport a solid foundation to build on in the future.
WPA would like to wish Katie the best of luck in her exciting new venture.
