WPA ANNOUNCES AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR MEN’S AND WOMEN’S SQUADS
Published Fri 04 Feb 2022
Water Polo Australia is pleased to announce the Australian Junior Men’s and Women’s squads.
The squads have been selected following the 20&U Summer Slam competition in Brisbane, as well as consideration for WA athletes who were unable to attend. Only athletes born in 2002 and 2003 have been selected in the Australian Junior squads, with those born 2004 or later focusing on the FINA Youth World Championships later this year.
The Australian Junior programs will be led by Head Coaches Taryn Woods and Vedran Cirkovic, who have also been appointed as the Junior Lead Coaches. Woods and Cirkovic will work with all three National Age Group Programs (NAGP), as well as the Aussie Sharks and Aussie Stingers, to ensure a smooth pathway for the athletes in the NAGP as they transition into the senior national programs.
The Australian Junior squads will have their first camps following the Australian Waterpolo League finals series scheduled for April 2022 in Sydney.
Water Polo Australia would like to congratulate the following athletes on their selection.
