WPA appoints Richard McInnes as acting CEO

Water Polo Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard McInnes as acting Chief Executive Officer, effective as of 2 December 2019 while CEO Joelie Chisholm takes an extended leave of absence for personal reasons.
Richard brings an extensive high performance background to the role, having been in High Performance and Competition Management roles at Cricket Australia and Netball Queensland since 2003.
With a degree in sports science and as a multiple World Cup winning coach in cricket, Richard has a demonstrated capability to harness the strengths of multidisciplinary teams to produce outstanding outcomes.
His strong leadership skills, including his values of integrity, trust and putting the team first, will assist him greatly in leading the Water Polo Australia team in the coming months.
