WPA COACHING EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Water Polo Australia (WPA) is undertaking an important stocktake of its broader national program coaching workforce to make more advanced and nationally aligned commitments to coaches engaged in national program activity. Whether that be in support of daily training environments (DTE) for current and prospective Ord Minnett Aussie Sharks and Aussie Stingers, within the Ord Minnett Aussie Sharks and Aussie Stingers programs and/or across our National Age Group Programs.

Through this Expression of Interest (EOI) process, WPA wishes to take a moment to fully understand our available and interested workforce, and to make considered decisions around who and how we appoint coaches to roles and support their development across multiple years, moving away from individual appointments around specific activities and campaigns. WPA believes this will better support the ongoing and nationally informed technical, tactical and physical development of current and future potential Sharks and Stingers.

WPA appreciates the scale of individual campaign-based EOIs in recent years. We aim to undertake this process to supersede the need for so many individual EOIs going forward as it will build a bank of available and interested coaches with which program decisions can be supported across the breadth of national activities. So, if you are capable and interested in any of the roles referenced below, please undertake this EOI process – one which we commit to providing communication back as we progress the coaching workforce mapping exercise.
