Water Polo Australia would like to acknowledge that Cara O’Neill has stepped down from her position as Chief Financial Officer.

Cara has been at WPA since April 2018, however has been involved with water polo for most of her life as a player and now manager/coach at Balmain Water Polo Club.

Acting Water Polo Australia Chief Executive Officer Richard McInnes said that Cara will be sorely missed. Cara, along with Joelie Chisholm have done a remarkable job of stabilising the sport financially over the past 18 months.

“We’d like to thank Cara for her outstanding contribution in this vital area, and she will be missed but we know Cara will continue to contribute to the development of water polo at club level for many years to come,” McInnes said.

“We’d like to wish Cara luck for her next exciting opportunity and look forward to seeing her on pool deck soon.”
