Matthew Byrnes

Matthew Byrnes is a driver for the Ord Minnett Aussie Sharks and a Paris 2024 Olympian, having progressed through the UNSW Wests Magpies system where he won multiple Australian Waterpolo League titles. He made his senior international debut in 2022 against Spain and went on to feature at World Cup and World Championship level, as well as representing Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. At club level, Byrnes has competed in Spain with CN Sant Andreu while also contributing to the sport in Sydney through coaching and development roles.
