Water Polo Australia is pleased to announce Kayo SPORTS as the official broadcast partner of the 2026 World Aquatics Water Polo World Cup Finals in Sydney from 22-26 July.
Aussie sporting fans will be given the opportunity to experience the highest profile international water polo event on home soil for over 25 years, with all 24 matches to be available live and exclusive on Kayo SPORTS.
Across an action-packed five days of competition, the 2026 World Aquatics Water Polo World Cup Finals is set to deliver blockbuster match-ups between the top eight men’s and women’s teams competing for World Cup glory, featuring current Olympic champions Spain (women) and Olympic silver medalists Croatia (men).
The Ord Minnett Aussie Stingers will return to Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, home of their historic Sydney 2000 Gold Medal, in the hope of standing on top of the podium – one place higher than they finished at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The Ord Minnett Aussie Sharks will wear their underdog badge with pride, looking to cause upsets against key European rivals in the men’s draw.
Water Polo Australia CEO Tim Welsford said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Kayo SPORTS as our official broadcast partner, an agreement that will allow sporting fans across the country to watch the world’s elite water polo teams compete right here in Sydney.
“To be able to showcase our dynamic and skillful sport to a broad audience, and inspire the next generation of Australian water polo players, this event represents an important step towards Brisbane 2032”.
